Heading out for another father son FIRST Miami Fishing tarpon Trip. Just as the sun was going down over Haulover Park and the inlet we marked the first pod of Tarpon. We put out a spread of mullet to be slow trolled around the area and it didn’t take long before the mullet was getting harassed from below. The Tarpon had found our mullet and were starting to try to eat it and causing the water boiled as the tarpon missed each inhalation of the mullet. As soon as it got dark and we approached the area around the inlet both lines went off and we had hooked up a double header as each tarpon went different ways it was difficult to manage the line and what Tarpon to chase down as both fish were around 90 lbs with a mind of their own.
One jumped and came off the line and we were able to get remaining fish a lot easier. We got 3 out of 4 Miami Tarpon by the end of the night and angler were happy to get there fish boat side for a picture.
