Sale price $480.00 Regular price $800.00
You’ll often hear Florida referred to as the “Sportfishing Capital of the World.” The moniker is well deserved as Florida is home to one of the most abundant saltwater fisheries in the United States.
If you’re looking for some wintertime Sailfish and Tarpon fishing charters, Miami is a great place to start. Booking a Saltwater fishing Charter with Fraser is an even better way to catch a Sailfish, Tarpon or other species.  For over 10 Years Fraser has only shared his skill with Private Boat owners now you have the opportunity benefit from his skills at finding Sailfish and Tarpon.

Fisherman come to the Florida each year to get on the hot bite, but of all the fish you can catch in Florida, the Atlantic sailfish and Tarpon are the most popular to charter fish for.

Both tourists and locals enjoy charter fishing for Sailfish and Tarpon because the fish thrive close to shore off of South Florida. They put on an acrobatic fight, they’re the perfect size for any angler (man, child or woman) and for most fishermen, the sailfish represents their first billfish ever caught. They’re also beautiful and a challenging fish to catch, but the real beauty about catching a high-flying sailfish is that anyone can do it.

Sailfishing Season and Cold Front Fishing

You can find sailfish at any time of the year off the coast of South Florida, but the peak of the season typically starts in late November and runs full speed through April.

You can catch sailfish any time during the annual run, but certain conditions really kick the bite into high gear. Sailfish start to actively feed around the winter cold fronts that blow through the state.

You don’t need to travel very far offshore when heading out of Miami’s Government Cut or Bakers Haulover Inlet to find sailfish. Most captains fish the reefs and artificial reefs in water depths from 150 to 300 feet, which is typically within sight of land. Fishing live baits off of kites is the most common technique.

Its easy to get excited and run out and buy a ton of tackle if you own a boat. Why not come out on a few charters and learn some of the techniques or have Captain Fraser Simpson come out on your boat and get you set up for success as he has rigged and outfitted boats from 40ft Center Consoles to 92 ft Sport Fish. Check out our testimonials and reviews

Most every crew fishes with light tackle that makes it ideal for youngsters and novice anglers. We use 20-pound 30-lb Spin and conventional tackle that will feel comfortable in your hands. And, you don’t need to put a ton of drag against a sailfish to catch it.

Sailfish fight hard for sure, but they don’t have the shoulders of a big blue marlin or even a grouper. Anyone can fight a sailfish and enjoy the triumphant experience of landing one.

Trust me, you’ll treasure that photo of you leaning over the boat with your hand on the bill of your first sailfish.

The trip takes you aboard a 18 Parker center console, powered by a
NEW 2018, 115 HP Mercury Pro XS engine.

It has a wide deck that can accommodate a group of up to 5 people, low gunnel and, most importantly, provides ample stability for fishing

The boat also has the latest Lowrance Side Scan and Down Scan Fish finding technology and targeting sailfish Tarpon and other species in Miami around the wrecks and reef

Captain Fraser will welcome you onboard, and will provide you with THE VERY BEST TACKLE :TFO fly fishing equipment, rods, Shimano reels, tackle and Hogy lures and Power Pro Braid (or bring your own) and live bait upon request.

With Captain Fraser, you will be in safe hands, focused on giving the best experience in Miami. His trips will take you to main spots in the area, and Snook are also a possibility.
